What is the purpose of Bookman’s Guide?
Bookman’s Guide is my personal passion project where I, as an average Filipino professional, try out “luxury” or fancy restaurants so that you don’t have to waste your money on those restaurants that don’t deserve them.
As a resident of BGC, I’ve tried almost every restaurant in this township and felt the buyer’s remorse of having spent my hard-earned money on food that’s just not good but I’m forced to like because I’ve already spent a fortune on them.
Understandably, most people don’t want to waste thousands, especially on food and recreation.
To some, this may be a small amount of money and just another dinner or lunch, but for the middle-income Filipino, this is a dining experience that they saved up for.
Because of that, people tend to look for reviews on a restaurant before trying them out. And oftentimes, many of the reviews are paid for by the owners, whether it’s on social media, on google, or even list articles from Booky.
For that reason, I decided to write honest to goodness reviews on restaurants and meticulously providing criticism on every aspect of the restaurant, such as the prices, portion size, the actual quality of the food, the service, the ambiance, and if it’s worth visiting again.
Is Bookman’s Guide Qualified to do critiques?
In the truest sense, everyone is. However, in terms of professional background on reviews, I’m just a regular guy.
However, that’s precisely why my opinion is important to hear. I’m not doing this to advance my career, nor am I writing these reviews because someone paid me to do them.
Will You Accept Payment From Companies to Give Them a Positive Review?
Never. This will only destroy the very reason I started this blog. However, I will welcome a deal where I can give truthful, and fair criticisms for the restaurant’s food and service.
